Depending on what you need, we can produce printed or unprinted cardboards. Both types are divided into different grades that have different properties.
At Ebro Color you also get printed folding boxes made from corrugated cardboard. Particularly popular, for example, is the printed E-flute. The corrugated cardboard can be printed directly by the manufacturer in small runs using digital printing and in large runs using offset printing. Here we can print on both white and brown corrugated cardboard.

The Manufacturing Steps of Folding Boxes Made from Cardboard
The industrial production of packaging materials from cardboard or corrugated cardboard is carried out in principle through the work steps of printing - finishing - die-cutting - gluing.
Printing on Cardboard Sheets
The cardboard sheets can be printed using different printing processes.
The sheets can be printed with logos, graphics, photos, texts and much more.
In most cases, we recommend printing in four-color printing according to Euroscale.
Euroscale colors are cyan, magenta, yellow and black. With these colors, millions of color shades can be reproduced through screening and overprinting - for example, full-color photos or color gradients.
All colors other than the Euroscale colors are spot colors and cause an increase in printing costs. This can make sense, for example, when a particularly bright orange or green is desired that goes beyond the color space of the Euroscale or when colors should have a metallic shimmer. For spot colors, we need either the color designation from the Pantone or from the HKS fan.
Finishing of Cardboard Sheets
There are numerous finishing techniques to beautify the appearance of cardboard. One of these is UV spot coating. This coating layer is applied so thickly that the design can be felt. The colors appear brighter and more vibrant on matte surfaces with this coating. Another possibility for finishing cardboard is foil stamping.
Die-cutting of Cardboard Sheets
Die-cutting separates the cardboard sheets into individual blanks (units). It also includes scoring the cardboard at the later desired fold line and possibly further processing such as embossing or perforating.
The machines are called die-cutting machines, particularly in fully automatic processing. They are equipped with a die-cutting platen in which the cutting dies are installed, and can also contain additional functional units - for removing waste parts in the cardboard and for separating the units from each other.
Gluing of Die-cut Blanks
After die-cutting, the blanks are placed in the gluing machine, where the packaging materials are glued and folded. Gluing machines apply the adhesive, fold the units at the fold lines and press the gluing points until the adhesive has cured.
