GD2 Chromoduplex board direct from the manufacturer
This coated recycled cardboard consists of over 90% recycled fibres and has a beautiful white coated outside despite the high recycled content. The inside of the cardboard is "recycled" grey. Due to the increasing trend to use recycled cardboard, the cardboard is steadily growing in popularity.
The recycled cardboard is produced in Germany and represents a very good compromise between a high recycled content and still good printing properties.
Recycled cardboard - usable for all purposes?
Yes, we are proud of our sustainably produced products made from recycled cardboard. For us, sustainable and, as far as possible, CO2-neutral manufacturing processes and resource-saving products have a high ethical priority. At the same time, however, we are also committed to you and your individual wishes. Depending on the degree of recycled material used, recycled cardboard has different material properties that are ideally suited for packaging, folding boxes, for printing and many other purposes.
Recycled cartonboard stands for sustainable and environmentally friendly manufacturing processes
The environmentally friendly and resource-saving production of recycled cartonboard motivates us to keep moving forward. Production technology is constantly being developed and adapted to the individual uses of recycled cartonboard. New, innovative products are created, such as the coated recycled cartonboard. This coated recycled cartonboard consists of more than 90% recycled fibres and has a beautiful white coated outside despite the high recycled content.
Another motivating advantage is that the manufacturing process is completely free of toxic chemicals or other additives. The inside of the cardboard is "recycling" grey. Due to the increasing trend to use recycled cardboard, the cardboard is becoming more and more popular. The argument that paper can only be recycled about five times due to the shortening of the fibres in the recycling process practically does not apply to cardboard recycling. According to experts, cardboard fibres are suitable for recycling at least 25 times. In addition, the use of recycled cardboard leads to a considerable reduction in waste requiring disposal.
Recycled cardboard is offered for different types of boxes
Folding, tuck-away and shipping boxes for a wide variety of uses made of recycled cardboard are by no means always grey, as is often assumed, but also meet the quality criteria of other types of cardboard. Despite its high recycled content, GD2 chromo duplex board has a beautiful white coated outer side.
Which type of cardboard you should buy depends above all on the intended use, the physical load and, last but not least, the desired visual impression. Among the huge selection of practical and innovative tuck and fold boxes, cardboard displays or a special type of packaging, there is hardly a model that could not be made from recycled cardboard.
Recycled cardboard is well suited for optical and haptic finishes.
The physical strength properties are an important criterion when selecting the type of board to meet individual requirements. GD2 chromo duplex board represents a very good compromise between a high recycled content and still good printing properties. Another important criterion is the possibility of finishing the cardboard in order to set creative optical and also haptic highlights. Our products made from recycled cardboard, such as folding boxes and other packaging, are ideally suited for all types of finishing such as print finishing, UV white printing, UV spot varnish and foil stamping. For example, we can transfer coloured or metallic pigments onto the cardboard with heat and pressure (hot foil stamping), which produces a much more intense metallic effect with gold and silver than is possible with offset printing.
Foil embossing can be used to create interesting haptic impressions because the process does not involve applying plastic foils but small, visually appealing packets of varnish that motivate the user to "touch" them, i.e. they convey special haptic impressions. Similar effects can be achieved with screen printing. For example, glossy surfaces can be achieved through high layer densities, which also create interesting haptic stimuli. Printing and the other finishing techniques do not affect the recyclability of the cardboard. If you would like to buy GD2 Chromoduplex recycled cartonboard, simply request corresponding samples.
