The appropriate construction depends on weight, size, handling, and packaging process. The choice of design influences both stability and efficiency in the packaging process.

Light products can be easily packaged in classic folding boxes with tuck-in flaps. For heavier or more sensitive contents, more stable designs such as crash-lock bottom or automatic bottom boxes are used. Automatic bottoms enable particularly quick erection and are ideal for larger quantities or automated processes.

The type of filling – manual or automated – also influences the selection of the appropriate design.

Depending on the application, different types of closures are used, e.g. tuck-in flaps, dust flaps or plug-in closures. The choice depends on the product, handling and desired stability.

Typical bottom types are tuck-in bottom, lock bottom or automatic bottom. Tuck-in bottoms are suitable for lighter products, lock bottoms offer increased stability, while automatic bottoms enable particularly fast erection.

The combination of closure and bottom is specifically tailored to product weight, handling and packaging process.

Folding boxes can be functionally enhanced to optimally support the product and application. This includes viewing windows in different sizes and shapes – optionally with or without film – for direct product presentation.

For use in retail, hanging tabs with Euro perforation are also possible to optimally present the packaging at the point of sale.

Depending on product requirements, construction, material thickness and finishing are specifically combined. Material, printing and finishing work together seamlessly.

High-quality chromoboard (GC2) ensures brilliant print images, while recycled cardboard is used for sustainable solutions.

Folding boxes can be printed over the entire surface – including inner surfaces as well as tuck-in and dust flaps. Special colors such as Pantone or HKS are also possible.

Finishes such as UV spot varnish, foil stamping or lamination are specifically applied to visible surfaces to highlight brands or product details.

Different die-cutting processes are used for the production of folding boxes.

Conventional die-cutting is particularly suitable for larger runs and economical productions. For smaller quantities, complex contours or prototypes, laser die-cutting can also be used. This enables particularly precise and flexible implementations without classic die-cutting tools.

The stability results from the interaction of design, cardboard thickness and format. Larger or heavier products require more stable materials or special constructions such as tuck-in or automatic bottoms.

Therefore, construction and material are always designed together.

In particular, automatic bottom boxes enable quick erection and efficient processing. The construction and material are tailored to the respective application.

Folding boxes are manufactured individually to measure – from very small formats to large-volume special formats. The feasibility depends on the interaction of the three dimensions (width, depth and height). Additionally, many standard sizes starting from approximately 15 mm edge length are available, which can be ordered directly in the webshop without tooling costs.

Individual productions usually start from 100 pieces, while small quantities for standard sizes are directly available in the webshop. The delivery time is usually approximately 8–12 working days, express productions are possible.
